Ballerina Girl – Thompson, Manitoba child photography

Today’s post features the lovely Miss Makenna.  This two year old from Thompson was full of life for her turn in front of the camera.  I love photographing this age because the kids are so unpredictable and you just never know what they’ll do next, which is how I got these first two shots.  Sometimes a back turned to the camera tells much more of a story than a big grin!

This adorable little girl is clearly the apple of her parent’s eye.  It took some coaxing but we eventually convinced Makenna to sit for a few photos with her Mum and Dad.

When I was sorting through the final images, I couldn’t help but notice these three shots and put them together. Again, it was all about being ready for the unexpected.

Needless to say it was very enjoyable to photograph this young lady and her parents and to capture a bit of the essence of being two years old on film.
