Japan, in 2003: as seen through my eyes

I woke up very early on the morning of March 11th, 2011.  After my coffee was ready, I sat down in the living room and turned on the television, something I only ever seem to do in the predawn hours.  I was shocked with what was on the screen – images of the  earthquake off the coast of Japan, and of the resulting tsunami, flooded the screen. Immediately my memory was flooded with images from my visit to Japan in 2003.  I traveled there during cherry blossom season, arguably the most beautiful time of the year to visit.  It was a wonderful trip and I fell head over heels in love with Japan and all it’s charms.

Counting down to Spring

Oh, I have been a bad blogger! I let the cold winter days lull me into a relaxed complacency. Since I’m winding down the portrait side of my business, I haven’t been posting any recent portraiture sessions as I don’t want to give the impression that I’m taking on more portrait work right now. Anyway, today’s post is a sampler of what’s happened over the past month or so.
