Like many Canadians, my parents enjoy an escape to Florida for a few weeks during the winter and spring, to thaw out and visit with their “snowbird” friends. We managed to find six-consecutive days where we could get away and join them, and off we went!
I joined Aimee and Mark at The Forks a few weeks ago, to photograph their engagement session on a foggy Sunday morning. We had a lovely overcast, warm (well, warm for March) day and the light was just lovely.
Today I’m sharing some of the photos I took on my son’s third birthday. In Winnipeg at the end of March it is still too cold for the grass to be green, so I wanted to add a bit of colour somehow. I recently happened upon this super cool red chair, and my husband thought I was absolutely, positively crazy when I asked him to load it in the truck and take us to the park. This is where my infamous, “Just trust me on this one!” line came in… sometimes it’s better to let the photos do the talking after the fact…
Angie and Glen are expecting their first child in just a few weeks so we headed to a nearby park here in Winnipeg for a quick maternity session. I think I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking…
